Skater Bio: I played badminton (booooo) with 2 roller girls who persuaded me to come along and try roller derby one Sunday in 2012. I hadn't skated since I was about 14 so was a bit scared of constantly falling on my arse! I turned out to be pretty stable on skates, but the rest of the game took a bit longer to understand - so many rules, skills and tactics....

Derby is fun for me, as well as being great exercise. I am not the most aggressive person so rely on being a positional blocker and sneaky jammer. There's always a great team atmosphere at training and bouts, and we're all Viking bitches together - Minxters!
Favourite Position: Blocker, but love a few jams here and there :-)
Worst Injury: Broken wrist from tripping over a fellow Minxter at training!
Proudest Derby Moment: Scoring 25 points in a late jam by sneaking through gaps made by my team mates' brilliant blocking.

Alter Ego: I'm a Guide leader, helping to encourage the next generation of strong women ;-). I also love a good pub quiz ( and beer). I love a bit of archaeology, especially the Romans, which is where my derby name comes from!
